New Secure Browsers

Dec 31, 2018

New Secure Browsers for all operating systems are now available on the portal. These Secure Browsers can be accessed via the Secure Browsers icon found on the home page. These browsers were updated to address issues with math ML formatting not being able to render properly on desktop platforms (Windows and Linux). Mac OSX 10.14 was released and had a security risk that was fixed with the release of Secure Browser 10.6; this affects Mac OXS only. This new browser for Macs can be used with all versions of the Mac operating system. For the 2018-19 school year, the versions that will remain available are Secure Browser versions 10.4 and 10.5 (Windows and Linux) and version 10.6 (MacOSX).

Additionally, versions 9.5, 10, and 10.1 (for Windows and Linux) and version 10.2 (Mac OSX) from the 2017-18 school year will no longer be supported as of December 31, 2018. If any computers used for student testing still use versions from the 2017-18 school year, technology coordinators will need to upgrade to version 10.5 (Windows and Linux) or version 10.6 (Mac OSX). Please note that if you downloaded Secure Browser version 10.4 for Windows and Linux after August 7, you are not required to download Secure Browser 10.5.
